ENDON DRAMATIC SOCIETY

(Affiliated to the North Staffordshire Drama Association)

Endon Dramatic Society was formed approximately 60 years ago and performs two plays each year in May and November at Endon Village Hall.  Throughout its long history E.D.S. has performed a wide range of plays to great success.  There is always something to get involved in, whether it is acting, directing, lighting, sound, costumes, or set building.  Rehearsals for each production take place on Wednesdays commencing at 7.45 p.m. in Endon Village Hall.  Please come and meet us!

The future of the Society depends upon its members both on and off stage.  The membership fee is £6.00 per year (£3.00 per year Junior Membership).  Why not join us?  For only £3.00 a year you can become a F.R.E.D. (Friend of Endon Dramatic Society) and receive copies of our magazine ‘Spotlight’ and notification of future productions and social events which are also organised throughout the year.

If you are interested in either acting or helping backstage, we would love to welcome you.  Please contact either:  Pam Shufflebotham Tel: 01782 412641 or Eve O’Rourke Tel: 01782 388166 for further information.

OUR NEXT PRODUCTION IS:

LOVE BEGINS AT FIFTY

by Raymond Hopkins

Wednesday 9th May – Saturday 12th May, 2007

Clive Debanks is approaching his fiftieth birthday. Stuck in a long but dull marriage, he decides to have a final fling before settling down to old age. He responds to three lonely-hearts ads in the local paper, and arranges to meet them all at his house on one night, while his wife is away. Sounds like a recipe for disaster, and the stuff of which classic farces are made.
