Introduction

Welcome to the Endon with Stanley Parish Council web pages, which will be updated on a regular basis. We will try to contain our pages with items that will be of most interest to those living in the area, whilst giving useful information to tourists or anyone living outside the area, who might be interested in finding out more about the work of our Parish Council and what’s going on locally.

Making contact with the Parish Council

The Parish Council wishes to be accessible to all those who live in the parishes of Endon and Stanley, and so provides a number of opportunities for members pf the public to make contact.

 Making informal contact

The telephone number for the Clerk, Mrs Paula Smith is 01782 503918 and she can be reached on this number during office hours of 10am to 1pm (excluding Thursdays).

Telephone numbers for the Councillors are listed on these web pages and you can contact one of them if you have a concern or question that you would like to discuss. Please respect family life and avoid ringing at awkward times.

Making formal contact

If you would like a formal answer to a question, or wish to make a point to the whole Council, then writing a letter is probably the best solution. Your letter should be sent to:

Alternatively, you are welcome to attend one of the Parish Council meetings each of which has a Public Session, which starts at 8.15pm, during which you can ask questions and make any points that you wish to raise. The meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month and are held at Endon Methodist Church.

If you plan to do this, please note:

·        Our meetings start at 7pm, so if you only intend to arrive in time for the Public Session, please be quiet upon entering the room;

·        Once the Public Session is over, members of the public are not entitled to speak during the formal business of the Council unless specifically invited to do so by the Chairman of the meeting.
