Endon & District Friendship Club                             Back to main page

The Club has been in existence for many years and our meetings are held every other Thursday at 2pm throughout the year in the Village Hall.

Our member mainly consist of retired people in and around Endon, and our main purpose is to provide a convivial meeting place for people ( many of whom live on their own) to meet and enjoy the companionship of other like minded people.

We endeavour to provide a wide spectrum of speakers to entertain and give advice to our members, e.g.

  • A solicitor

  • A local historian

  • A chemist

  • Advice on applying for various grant

  • Advice on gentle exercise

  • Films / slides

  • Day trips

But the main purpose is to offer friendship.

This year the Club has been fortunate enough to receive a cheque for three hundred and fifty pounds from the Robbie Williams Give It Sum North Staff Community Chest.  This is a very welcome gift since the Club is self-funding and we are always looking for ways to boost our assets.

There is a 50p fee per meeting which includes tea and cakes of the homemade variety of course.

Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings and we are always glad to receive new members.  New members should simply arrive at the Village Hall on the scheduled meeting day at 2pm.
